Only one transition effect can be applied to a slide at a time. If you want to remove all transitions from the presentation, after you select None, select Apply to All. On the Transitions tab, in the Transitions gallery, select None. Select the slide that has the transition you want to remove. So if (for example) you didn't want a transition effect between slides 2 and 3, you would remove the transition from slide 3. Remove a transitionĪ transition determines how a slide enters, and how the previous slide exits. Select Apply To All to add the transition to the entire presentation. Select Preview to see what the transition looks like. Select Effect Options to choose the direction and nature of the transition. Select the Transitions tab and choose a transition. Select the slide you want to add a transition to. • Put the Playhead (where you are in the timeline) at the beginning of the second clip.
  • The amount of the overlap will end up being how long your transition is.
  • Overlap your clips in the timeline so that the second clip is underneath your first clip (see image below for reference).
  • You’ll notice options for Transition Completion, Wipe Angle, and Feather.
  • Go into the Effects Controls panel and expand the Linear Wipe effect.
  • Find the Linear Wipe effect in your effects bin and drag/drop it onto the first clip (notice that it doesn’t become a traditional transition at the end of the clip).
  • Put the first clip on track 2 above the second clip.
  • With your Premiere Project opened, put the two clips that you want to transition from/to on the timeline.
